Note to self ... and an SV!

I made myself some mashed sweet potato and had it with 60 g of tuna for dinner last night. Four forkfuls later and nothing would else would go down, not a pleasant experience. I got through my first pb'ing episode after after a bit of trial and error. I thought a bit of water would help and it just made things worse. I've learned my lesson, I was trying to eat way too quickly and not chewing enough  -- a guaranteed recipe for disaster. After I got the offending bits up (sorry if TMI) I was able to enjoy the rest of my meal albeit at a much slower pace with smaller amounts at a time.

I had an SV this morning! I'm following a similar weigh-in routine  to Catherine and Cara  and I am now in the 260's. I've reached my second goal, yay me! Still a long way to go, but heading in the right direction.

I was planning to check out some treadmills while M is at work, but it's minus 18 degrees celcius here in Toronto (about 1 Farenheit) and I'm not looking foward to facing the cold. It's still early so hoping it will warm up a few degrees.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

  1. OH- I'm sorry about the bad experience! Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog, we all have a lot of learning to do to 'master' the band experience. One day at a time, right?
    Congrats on your 'SV!'

  2. Ouch. PB'ing at the best of times is not fun. Glad you worked your way through it - and yeah, doesn't water just make it worse? It seems to sit on top and make things back up even more.
I think Catherine and I are onto something - it's a more relaxed approach - but we all get there in the end. Congrats on how well you are doing so far. Nice SV too!
