Update - I had my 3rd fill and finally feel some good restriction. I now have 5.25 ccs in my 10cc band. Stepped on the scale this morning and I'm now only 2.5 pounds!! away from the 50 pound goal that I set for myself by May 14th. Although I've dropped a few sizes and the scale indicates I've lost weight, I don't see any difference when I look in the mirror, not one ounce.
I've avoided the camera for the last few years so I don't have any photos at my heaviest, fortunately the clinic took a couple of photos the morning of surgery. Still sticking to the goal of posting pics with my 50 pound/4 month post-surgery post. I'll have to dust off the camera soon and take the plunge.

You are doing so well with the weightloss! I'm looking forward to seeing the photos as I'm certain the difference will be really noticeable. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI don't really know how to help you as I am going through the same dilema right now. I have lost over 65 lbs, and so many are telling me how good I look, but I don't feel there is much of a difference. We are all different and I am hoping that I will realize that I am not a 'big' girl soon, but for now I think its best to just focus on your weight loss goals and hope that the rest will come eventually. I'm not sure if this is much help, but its all I got

I felt a lot like that after losing 30 lbs or so and then we did some before and after shots and the difference was amazing - much more than I realised. You'll be amazed, too!! Keep up the great work.

ReplyDeletei feel that way sometimes too. people tell me the differences they see and when i look at myself all i can think is that i'm still fat and still have so more to lose than i've lost. you're still doing good though.
